オキラボを作ったきっかけ
沖縄には多くの観光客が訪れますが、言語面でまだ十分に商品サービスの魅力が伝えきれていない場面もあると感じています。もし沖縄の地元のお店や商品サービスの魅力を国際的に伝えることができれば、各サービスの価値が正しく伝わり、地域全体をさらに潤すことにもつながるのではないかと考えています。異文化理解や国際的な知見を活かし、多方面に、そして海外へと発信を目指す事業者さまのお力になればと思い、オキラボを立ち上げました。

初めまして。オキラボを立ち上げたケイトです!!
簡単に自己紹介をしますと、英語翻訳とSEOのマーケティングライターとして活動してきました。上智大学卒業後、広告代理店や都内の翻訳会社で経験を積み、デザインテックCanva社や海外送金サービスWise社でローカライズやSEOに携わりました。個人でWebサイト制作や日英通訳案件も受注して参りました。那覇市に拠点のある国内大手コンタクトセンター＆BPO事業でも通訳者として従事した経験がございます。
趣味は素潜り、ダイビング、ボードゲーム、読書、映画。
これまで訪れた離島は6か所ほど。タイも大好きで沖縄とタイの離島はいつか制覇してみたいです！

なぜ沖縄？と思われるかもしれません。沖縄に移住し3年目を迎える今、沖縄から得たものはとても多いように感じます。多様な文化が混じり合う「ちゃんぷるー文化」、「なんくるないさー」の精神、海や自然を大切にする心、そして何より自分が自然体でいられるところ。
私と同じく沖縄が大好きな仲間たちと少しでも恩返しができたらと思いサービスを開始しました。（もちろん、県外からのお客様、全国からのご依頼も承ります！）何卒よろしくお願いいたします。

Canva社のウェブサイトで200ページを超える記事を執筆した経験があります。SEOライターとして検索エンジン最適化でサインアップ数の増加に貢献しました。
植田製油様のグローバルサイト（英語版）を担当しました。トップページのスローガンやキャッチコピーの考案も含め、既存の日本語を自然な英語に翻訳しました。
そのほかWebサイトを都内のIT企業に売却するなど、Webデザインやブログ構成の実績もあります。

Highly recommended. Her pronunciation is very clear and easy to understand, and she made me feel that learning from a native speaker really makes a difference. She also provides support in Japanese, which is very reassuring. From my own experience, taking speaking lessons with Malaysian-accented English on a cheap online platform was actually quite difficult, especially when it came to listening comprehension. When you’re just starting to learn English, it’s better to begin with clear pronunciation and natural intonation.
